We chose differently. Both of us.
Kelly was a nurse, then a self-employed nurse — a job she loved, demanding, made of home rounds and lives we look after. Then she made a choice our times understand less and less: staying home. Not by default, not as a fallback — by decision. Being there for Émilie, holding the home like you hold a course: that's work, real work, and it's hers.
Sébastien made the other against-the-grain choice: turning down the classic salaried path to build his own products solo, no boss, no investors, from Réunion Island — organizing work around the family, not the other way around.
Two unconventional decisions. We talk about them here because they deserve better than clichés, in both directions.
